Remembering Grandpa

Unfortunately, we had to say our goodbyes to my Grandpa Schaefer recently. He lived a long life. He was 89 years old when he passed away. I have to say that I wasn't ready to say goodbye yet, I just imagined he would be around longer. He was the best Grandpa ever. He will be deeply missed!

I put together a slide show for his memorial service and received so many great pictures from the family. I wish I could post them all but I have over 200. I like this one because it looks exactly like my brother Jordan. He was in the Navy and my brother is a Marine. Both brave men.

My Grandparents sailed to Tahiti all by themselves. It took them three months and they came home with great stories to tell. What an adventure they had to share. They have challenged me in my own marriage. They were a great match and served one another with love. I love that. That is me leaning on my Grandma's leg next to my cousin Jessica at their going away party. Great times.

This was last summer on our "Sister's Weekend" trip. We stopped by Grandpa's house, so glad I have this picture. I hope one day Sean and I are great Grandparents like mine were to me. He left a legacy of love to our whole family!
