Holiday Happenings

Happy Holidays to all our Friends!

Crossroads Staff Christmas Party. We had a great time!

This is our lead pastor, Bruce. He has been a true blessing to Sean and I. The Lord brought us here knowing we needed to be under the leadership of someone like Bruce. I'm sure of it. He has a humility about him I've never seen in a pastor. It's refreshing. I thank the Lord for bringing us to such a wonderful place.

We had a fun gift exchange, it lasted for over an hour because we had over 35 people there and we could steal each other's gifts. It was fun.

Me and Jen enjoying some hot chocolate during the gift exchange. We were bored. haha

Chantel...one of my best friends here at Crossroads. Love her. She is from Indianapolis and has the cutest accent and best sense of humor. We just clicked from the moment we met. I thank God for her friendship in my life.

Sean with Kevin our Jr. High intern. He hasn't changed a bit, still goofy.

Our awesome Worship Pastor George or rather as Drew would say, Gorge. She loves him. Every time we drive to church she says, I want to see Gorge. He and Sean get along great because they are both goofy. George won this man purse in the gift exchange.

Me and Jen (our Women's Leader). I was urging her husband to hurry up and shoot the picture, can you tell?

George and Maylene, love them.

My gift I won at the gift exchange.
Have you ever seen that carpet commercial where the lady is yelling, "Toby"!
I was yelling, "Corby"!
He's got some bad habits.

So, at our staff Christmas party I one this Snuggie for dogs. I actually was really excited about it because Corbin has no meat on his bones and he needed a little Snuggie! Thanks Tim and Shannon! :)

Posing for the camera, just like my kids do.

Miss Reeda and Drew are buddies. She is Drew's speech therapist. She has been coming to our house to visit Drew a couple times a week for I think over a year now. It has been a huge help in developing Drew's speech. I don't think she needs therapy anymore but we don't want Reeda to go yet, we love her so much!  Every time she comes to the door Drew goes crazy screeming, Miss Reeda, Miss Reeda! Thank you Lord for another blessing you've provided to us!

Christmas 2009

We had so much fun decorating the tree. We turned on Christmas music and it was freezing outside so we had the fire going. So fun. Drew really got into it this year. She only broke 4 ornaments. :/

Sean lucked out this year, you know women, when we want something done we do it ourselves. So I wanted a tree and I wanted it bad enough that because Sean was busy studying I went out without the family and got the tree myself. I even put it on the top of my car because Lowes said it was a liability if they helped me. Man, I got what I asked for. haha Anyway, Sean helped me get it up right and then the kids went crazy.

Regs has been practicing for weeks after school with her music teacher Mrs. Petree for this little solo she had in the 3rd grade Christmas production. She did fabulous!

PHEW! So I think this was my longest blog post ever. Drew was taking a nap and believe it or not I had free time. Wahoo!
Hope this brought smiles to my families faces knowing God has graciously taken care of and blessed our family beyond measure. We are thankful for His hand in our lives. May God bless all of you this Christmas season!

Carly, I just have to say that I am so bummed we are leaving so soon and that we did not get a chance to spend some time together. I was really hoping we would! I got a cute picture of Kate and Bailey this morning, so I'll send it to you when I get a chance.

Take care of Jennifer for me! It makes me sick to leave her, so you'll have to take over for me and keep her company.

See you soon, blog buddy! :)
